The next game in the Ratchet & Clank series, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, will feature a 4K resolution, 30 fps “resolution” mode, as well as a “performance” mode offering a lower resolution at 60 fps. It’s available to anyone with a (free) PlayStation Network account PlayStation Plus or any other subscription is not needed. Ratchet & Clank was made free at the beginning of the month as Sony Interactive Entertainment brought back its Play at Home Initiative, to support sheltering, safety, and social distancing efforts during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Ratchet & Clank is currently available for everyone to download, for free, until Wednesday, March 31. Ratchet & Clank, Insomniac’s 2016 series reboot for PlayStation 4, will be patched on PlayStation 5 to run at 60 frames per second, the studio said Monday.
